I wanted to add more texture to this piece, so I decided to start by focussing on the two larger cells. For this I created skins using PVA glue and salt, which I then painted over. I intend to fix these to the piece using PVA, and smooth off the edges using modelling paste.
I still think that I need to lighten the whole piece, so that the shapes within the painting become much more obscure, and also want to build up the texture even further.
