I’ve been adding more texture to this piece, especially on the more dominant cell shapes. The textured surfaces have been created using PVA, salt and acrylic polymer emulsion. This has created some interesting individually unique areas within the piece, drawing the eye to the important elements within the composition. I’m still considering whether to add even more white paint. The current contrast of dark blue within the piece has potential to make the image more aesthetically pleasing, however adding more contrast will detract from the conceptual value of this work.

Thanks Anna….I’m hoping to finish it soon, although I don’t want to overwork it. I might add a touch more white to the piece to obscure the shapes more.
