This is a piece of work inspired by the walk I took yesterday in Comrie. I walked down to the woods behind where I used to live, and along the banks of the River Earn. The work began as a drawing of roots, but soon turned into a map of my journey…
I really enjoy working between positive and negative, adding and subtracting, and the process seems very relevant to the themes I am exploring of presence and absence within the landscape. I plan to do more of these maps inspired by other walks I have taken.
